GETTING A LIBRARY CARD

The Davenport Public Library is an independent city library, and not a part of a library system. It is supported by the taxpayers of the City of Davenport, Washington. Use by non-residents who reside in the towns or un-incorporated areas of Lincoln County, Washington is extended as a courtesy by the Davenport Public Library Board of Trustees and Davenport City Council for a designated annual fee per household address.

Residents within City Limits: Free library cards are available to all residents and property owners within the City limits of Davenport, Washington. Application forms are available at the front desk or you can download it here. You will need to come into the library with photo ID and verification of your current address such as: current Washington State ID, current Washington State driver's license or automobile registration, printed checks, or utility bill (dated within the past 30 days).

Non-Residents within Lincoln County: Those non-residents who reside in the towns or un-incorporated areas of Lincoln County, Washington, outside of Davenport City Limits, can purchase a non-resident library card for an annual $10 fee per household. (For example a non-resident family can apply for cards and pay the annual fee of $10 for everyone that resides at their address.)

Children’s Cards: For any child who wishes to get a library card, a parent/guardian can apply on behalf of a child below 18 years old. Non-Resident fees still apply. The following children’s cards with various levels of access are available:

          Full Access Card: Allows access to all materials, Library computer, and Internet in the Library.
          Juvenile R-Card: Allows access to all materials except R-rated DVDs. Internet Option available.
          Juvenile V-Card: Allows access to all materials except all DVDs. Internet Option available.

Not only does your library card allow for full borrowing privileges of the more than 13,000 items we have in our collection, but you can also download free eBooks and audiobooks from the Washington Anytime Library, access free from home or borrow a book from another library using Interlibrary Loan.
